The 20th Year Celebration of the Pediatric Cardiac Center: Beyond Guidelines – Real World Decisions in Congenital Heart Defects

The Pediatric Cardiac Center, Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (QSNICH) hosted “Beyond Guidelines – Real World Decisions in Congenital Heart Defects: Celebrating 20 Years of Innovation, Experience, and Impact” Workshop to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the center’s establishment. The event aimed to share clinical experience, exchange ideas, explore the latest advances in congenital heart disease care, and reunite all those who have been part of the journey. The participants had the opportunity to learn from challenging live cases, workshops, and lectures from outstanding international speakers, including Prof. Sir Shakeel A. Qureshi (Evelina Children’s Hospital, UK); Dr. Phuoc Duong (Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, UK); Dr. Radityo Prakoso (National Cardiovascular Center Harapan Kita, Indonesia); Dr. Do Nguyen Tin (Children’s Hospital 1, Vietnam); Dr. Manish Shrestha (Shahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, Nepal); and Dr. Robin Chen (Hong Kong Children’s Hospital, Hong Kong SAR). The celebration also reunited pediatric cardiologists, CVT surgeons, anesthesiologists, and healthcare professionals from QSNICH’s MOU partners, academic networks, and alumni from Thailand, Malaysia, Nepal, and the Maldives, reflecting the strong international connections and shared commitment to improving pediatric cardiac care.
