WHO Visited QSNICH for Immunization Program and VPD Surveillance Review

On September 4, 2025, Dr. Worakan Promphan, Deputy Director and the Pediatric Health Promotion Team led by Dr. Rachada Kasemsup, Head of the Outpatient Pediatric Department, Dr. Naiyana Neesanan, Pediatrician and Ms. Ruchaneegone Payakaso, Head of Pediatric Health Promotion Nursing Services, together with the nursing team, welcomed Dr. Chris Maher, Senior Advisor, and Dr. Vinod Bura, Reviewer Manager from the World Health Organization (WHO), also Dr. Pawinee Doung-ngern and a team from the Department of Disease Control and the Institute for Urban Disease Control and Prevention, for the Independent External Review of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD) Surveillance.

Dr. Kasemsup presented the hospital data on Immunization Program and Vaccine-Preventable Diseases (VPD) Surveillance, followed by discussion and feedback, then visited the Well Child Clinic at Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health.

The visit provided an opportunity to observe key aspects of the EPI/VDP programme implementation including the implementation of immunization services, vaccine and cold chain management, data recording and reporting outcomes and other related operation information.
