The 6th Vojta Therapy Training Course: Advancing Care for Children with Mobility Impairment

The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine organized the 6th Vojta Therapy Training (Course D) from August 11 to 20, 2025. This marks the final part in a comprehensive series that began with Course A in February 2024, followed by Course B in August 2024, Course C in February 2025, and Course C in July 2025.

This training is a key activity under the National Project to Strengthen the Service and Academic Network for Children with Mobility Impairment. The project aims to enhance the quality of care and increase the number of trained physicians and physical therapists at the tertiary care level. It also improved access to high-quality rehabilitation services for children and their families, in alignment with international standards. A total of 20 healthcare professionals from both public and private sectors—including hospitals under the Ministry of Public Health, universities, special education centers, private clinics, and private hospitals—participated in this intensive program. The course focused on Vojta Therapy, a globally recognized method for treating children with physical disabilities.

We were honored to have expert instructors from the International Vojta Society, Germany, who led the training sessions: Dr. Friedemann Schulze (via Zoom), Ms. Ute Westerfeld, and Ms. Fionn Bayley, Vojta instructors from Kinder Klinik Siegen Hospital, Germany.

Their contributions brought invaluable international insights and advanced clinical practices, significantly enhancing Thailand’s capacity in pediatric rehabilitation.
