MOU Collaborative Activities: The 6th Annual Asian Medical Conference on Child Health (AMCCH 2025), Kagawa, Japan

 

On 18 January 2025, the 6th Annual Asian Medical Conference on Child Health (AMCCH 2025) was held in Kagawa, Japan, hosted by the Shikoku Medical Center for Children and Adults (SMCCA). The conference brought together experts in pediatric healthcare to share knowledge and advancements in child health.

As MOU partners, Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (QSNICH) team participated in the conference led by Assoc. Prof. Adidsuda Fuengfoo, M.D., Head of the Child Development and Behavioral Pediatrics Center, representative of QSNICH’s executive board, along with Dr. Penpak Krergmatukorn, Head of the Plastic Surgery Division; Dr. Sirorat Suwannachote, Head of the Pediatric Neurology Division; Dr. Siwarode Khanom, Pediatric Gastroenterologist; and Ms. Chuenjit Kitsaengthong, Registered Nurse, Gastroenterology and Hepatology Ward, who came to share their experiences on the academic activities.

The team was warmly welcomed by distinguished SMCCA members, including:

  • Dr. Yoshinobu Nakagawa and Dr. Ichiro Yokota, Honorary Directors
  • Dr. Kazuhisa Maeda, Director of SMCCA
  • Dr. Sumiko Yoshida, Director of Research
  • Mr. Hideki Sogo, Hospital Manager

In addition to the conference, both institutions engaged in discussions to expand collaboration in the following areas:

  1. Neonatal care development
  2. Child development promotion
  3. Pediatric cardiology
  4. Advanced genetic research
  5. Enhancing patient referral systems between Thailand and Japan

This fruitful collaboration underscores the strong, ongoing partnership between QSNICH and SMCCA, and their shared commitment to improving child healthcare in both countries.
