QSNICH collaborated with Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) to build home in the hospitals with the goals to keep family close to the child patients, give them the chance to be together, while the children are hospitalized. The concept of patient holistic care has been proven statistically to comfort and enhance the recovery rate of the patients. QSNICH Home in Hospital opened in June 7, 2011, the first home-away-from-home in the hospital in Asia Pacific Middle East and Africa (APMEA), operated by the staff from QSNICH and RMHC teams and has been continuously developed to meet the needs of child patients and their guardians at no cost. It provides 2 family rooms, 17-bed female dormitory, and 6-bed male dormitory.
