The initiative under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH), the Ministry of Education (MOE), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), and Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health coordinating activities between the ministries. HSH offers education through e-learning technologies to children with chronic illnesses serving more than 100,000 cases each year. Before the initiative, 70% of children with chronic illness participating in this program were able to return to school. At present, the number has been increased to 95%. HSH has also achieved academic standard certified by MOE. This initiative covers 85 network hospitals in remote areas and has been implemented in medical schools such as Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Facultyof Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital Mahidol University, Chulalongkorn University,Thammasat University, Chiangmai University, Prince of Songkla University, and Srinakharinwirot University in order to improve access to and quality of education for sick children.
