Queen Sirikit National Institute of Child Health (QSNICH) started a Home Isolation Program (from July 1, 2021 until the present) for COVID-19 patients who are waiting to receive proper care and treatment. The patients have to do an assessment and a laboratory test to make sure that their conditions meet home isolation criteria. Nursing team will give the patients advices on how to use medical devices (thermometer and pulse oximeter) and how to observe abnormal symptoms. Food (3 meals a day), medicine, medical devices and happy bag (for children) are provided by the hospital. During home isolation, the patients’ symptoms are monitored and assessed through telemedicine twice a day (morning and evening) until they are recovered and ready leave the program. If the symptoms get worse, they will be referred to QSNICH for hospitalization as soon as possible.
